Wednesday, February 1: KSU Farmer Education Scholarship applications due (scholarships for attendance fees and travel and lodging costs)

Friday, February 10: Better Process Control School (What is BPCS?) registration closes (no on-site registration available)

Friday, February 10: Conference pre-registration closes (required for lodging, on-site registration available without lodging option)

Tuesday, February 21 – Wednesday, February 22: Better Process Control School, at Hindman Settlement School

Thursday, February 23 – Friday, February 24: EKY Farmer Conference, at Hindman Settlement School

EKY Farmer Conference

Pre-registration ends Friday, February 10th. You must preregister if you need lodging. Day-of registrations are also available.

Registration includes breakfast and lunch both days and dinner on Thursday. *Local farmers and producers will be first priority when sourcing for meals.

CFA is pleased to partner with the Food Innovations System at the University of Kentucky to offer the Better Process Control School in Hindman, KY before the EKY Farmer Conference! Better Process Control School is a required training for individuals interested in selling their acidified and low-acid canned foods like salsa and pickles!

This 2-day training typically costs over $200, plus costs for lodging in Lexington – that can add up to over $300! For this Better Process Control School ONLY, CFA is subsidizing the $200 course fee for all participants! (Scholarships are available through Kentucky State University’s Farmer Education Scholarship.)

KSU Farmer Education Scholarship applications due February 1st. Note: Applicant will likely NOT have funds in hand before the Farmer conference. However, if approved, applicants can be reimbursed.

There are also a limited number of direct scholarships available for the Farmer Conference only. Contact Community Farm Alliance’s Farm to Table Coordinator, Jann Knappage, via e-mail for details and to make a request.
